The 4Ms of an Age-Friendly Health System (What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility) framework has improved care in health systems for older adults across the country and around the world. Mental health and substance use clinicians can apply all 4Ms in their work with a uniquely tailored version of the framework. This workshop will present the 4Ms-Behavioral Health (BH) framework, useful tools, and our experience of piloting a training program with three community mental health centers. We will share lessons learned about teaching and implementing the 4Ms-BH, as well as sustainability of practice in clinic settings, and future training opportunities.
