Description: This presentation will provide an overview of long-term care challenges and evidence-based practices for older adults with serious mental illness.  An overview will be provided of the course of serious mental illness in aging adults; policy and regulatory  implications of the Olmstead Decision the use of antipsychotic medications in nursing homes; and evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
