This presentation will describe several strategies to engage older adults with depression in care, including psychoeducation, motivational interviewing strategies, and shared decision-making. The components of several evidence based brief behavioral interventions for older adults will be presented. Lastly, an innovative lay health delivered intervention based on Behavioral Activation (called “Do More, Feel Better”) will be presented.
